Organ Donation in the U.S.
While
the number of transplant patients in the U.S. has increased
by about 60 percent over the last five years, the number of
cadaveric organ donors has only increased by about 10
percent. Donations in South & Central Texas have increased
at a greater pace, however so has the transplant waiting
list. The following numbers show how organ donations have
grown over the last five year.
